Maintenance advice for electric Softairs

Two main points of the gun require maintenance :
1. The breech is to be treated with silicon oil every 100-200 firings. The procedure is basically the same as that for spring-loaded Softairs (see previous section).
2. The batteries are to be changed often. Batteries are to be either alkaline or rechargeable: Cadmium/Nickel (Cd/Ni) or Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni/Mh).
Two main points are to be maintained :
1. Clean and lubricate the barrel and barrel joint.
2. Completely discharge to balance the components of the battery.
3. Recharge the battery and check voltage at full charge. Other, more technical maintenance requires servicing by a CYBERGUN-certified technician.
Battery-powered products require alkaline batteries and sometimes specific brands are recommended, as slight differences in battery dimensions or shape between one brand and another can cause problems. The same may apply to rechargeable batteries.
Remember to respect polarities !
Cadmium/Nickel Batteries used in long top-of-the range arms must be recharged before each utilization, even if they have been recently charged as they self-discharge over time. They must also be completely discharged once every five to ten charges to balance battery components which unbalance with successive charges (known as the "memory" effect). The battery should be connected, respecting polarity, only when the Softair is used.
Warning : Should the temperature become excessive, remember to disconnect the charger to avoid damaging it !
