This new short version CO2 cartridge presented several problems to developers concerning especially the stability of the ejection pressure. Indeed, unlike the long version cartridge, there is no longer the necessary space inside the car tridge to incorporate within it an intermediate chamber for regulating the pressure between the CO2 cartridge and the pump located in the slide which ejects the BBs.

A new pump had to be developed, in order to absorbing very significant pressure variations !
